Building on the ideas expressed by William Morris in his lectures, and through the use of objects, small automatons, and period audiovisual materials, the audience is invited to reflect on how modern labor and consumption structures have been tied to forms of slavery, where individual freedom, creativity, and a sense of community have been crushed in favor of a system that promotes economic profit above all else.
