A pedal-driven sound installation in the form of a ritual.
—
Death knell is a single-body installation, an automatic sound artifact with a retrofuturistic appearance placed at the center of an empty space. An organ-like sound envelops and accompanies us while we listen to a series of poems by Enric Casasses recited by Mia Esteve through an integrated loudspeaker. A hypnotic and metaphysical pedal-driven journey that transports us, with eyes closed, into a contained and contemplative space. And all of this without any human presence.
